No landscape is complete without a combination of perennials, trees & shrubs. Whether you're planning to start from scratch or just want to fill in those bare spots, our team of experts can help you create the landscape of your dreams.
Perennials
A perennial plant is one that lives for more than two years. Perennials grow and bloom through spring and summer, then die back during autumn and winter, returning again from their rootstock the next spring.

We carry all of your favorites including hostas, ferns, grasses and an endless assortment of flowering perennials. Our outdoor perennial department is stocked full in the spring and organized with informational signs by each variety for easy shopping. With hundreds of varieties to choose from, you'll certainly find what you need for that sun-filled or densely shaded spot in your landscape.

Trees
T rees, with their elongated stems and seasonally changing leaves, are important statement pieces in every landscape. They not only offer shade to those needed areas, but they also enhance the look of your home and give structure to your landscape beds.

At Hoen's, we have everything from spring-blooming dogwoods and dwarf maples, to slow-growing trees that will mature to be large and stately. We even carry a variety of fruit trees for those who like to enjoy fresh fruit right from their own backyard.

Our citrus collection is available year round. However, unlike fruit trees, citrus are not perennials to our area and need to be kept indoors through the winter months.

Shrubs
S hrubs are woody plants that can be distinguished from trees because of their shorter height and multiple stems, creating more of a bush. The versatility of shrubs makes them a must-have in every landscape. They not only offer structure and organization in your beds, they also provide year-round color.

At Hoen's you will find dwarf, mid-size and full-height varieties, big-blooming shrubs, shrubs that die back before winter, and evergreens that give you green color all winter long.

We also carry a large selection of rose bushes, including large-blooming Hybrid Teas, climbing rose bushes, and the always popular Knock Out rose. Growing rose bushes can seem intimidating, but whether you're a rose novice or longtime enthusiast, there's a beautiful rose bush perfect for every type of gardener.
